Introducing.... Cutthroat Gin and Cutthroat Tonic.
We focused on the ‘sharpness’ that characterizes the new brand’s motif. We examined the historical and cultural context of the distilling tradition that the brand reclaimed. We studied the philosophy of gin, and the intricate story behind its origins and evolution, including the politics, influences, social impact, the fluctuating gin revolutions, and the romantic gin craze. The Cutthroat brand also taps into the myths and lore of a darker and more nefarious sentiment of the 1880’s, such as those that emerged from the fame of Jack the Ripper, pioneer feminists, American gangsters, sophisticated Englishmen, burning slashes, wild tastes, razor-sharp spirits and many more stories and legends. We were inspired by the cutting-edge quality of the new product with the fascinatingly old and diverse background. We designed the brand logo and the containers by emphasizing ‘the cut’ / the decisive gesture that acutely separates and clearly distinguishes the brand from all others.
Our unique brand is a new beverage choice with a sophisticated and unique attitude. It distilling processes go back to those of the 18th century where the gins at the time were distilled with real natural ingredients and authentic processes. With more than one character to choose from, each cut will offer a variety of provoking blends to stimulate the senses and the imagination, and will surprise its audience with each and every taste.
The excitement with our craftsmanship doesn’t stop at the gin; our unique tonic water is made using original cinchona tree bark from India giving the tonic not only its natural flavour, but natural red hue as well. And to top off the brand offering, our cocktails will provide our discerning customers with tantalizing creative recipes, ready-to-serve and with conversation pieces to further steer the imagination.

The cocktail was named after an early 1900s Broadway musical comedy. The name was originally spelled "Florodora," following the show, and the cocktail was a hit among New York's high society up through the 1950s.

The story of the corpse reviver is that of a drink "to be taken before 11 a.m., or whenever steam and energy are needed," It goes beyond a single drink and was instead an entire class of pre-Prohibition drinks in the 1930's. These were, quite appropriately, meant to "raise the dead"
